Dr. Thomas Lodi Brings Integrative Oncology Expertise To Akesis Life

In Thailand, an integrative oncology center is offering an alternative approach to cancer treatment using non-toxic and non-invasive therapies anchored on the shared philosophies and combined expertise of two renowned doctors: Dr. Chatchai Sribundit and Dr. Thomas Lodi. The center, Akesis Life, puts into practice the science and principle behind the comprehensive cancer care program pioneered by Dr. Lodi at An Oasis of Healing.

His program is built on three pillars: stopping the spread of cancer; targeting the cancer cells without damaging the healthy cells; and strengthening the body’s immune system through simple yet poignant lifestyle changes to prevent cancer from returning.

A Journey of Discovery

 Dr. Lodi has been practicing medicine for 30+ years, and he has dedicated the last 15 years to finding and harnessing the most effective and least toxic therapies to help cancer patients. His quest for knowledge has taken him all over the world and Akesis Life is the product of years of learning, practice, and meditation.

Before pursuing a degree in and practicing psychology, he has traveled around the world to learn various healing modalities. He lived in India for almost two years; exploring Nepal, the Middle East, and Europe next, before going back to the U.S. Soon, he realized that he also needed to master the physical aspect of medicine to better understand and consequently, help people, through a holistic approach to treatment. “The reason I went to medical school was not to be a doctor; it was to round out my understanding,” he explained. “I already had a view of the spiritual nature of man. And then I had a view of the psychological nature, and I needed a view of the physical nature. That was my journey—spirit, mind, body.”

Dr. Thomas Lodi Practiced Conventional Medicine Until He Realized It Didn’t Help People

Dr. Lodi practiced conventional medicine for more than 10 years, focusing primarily on acute and emergency care. He saw patients come and go, sometimes returning with the same ailments because they lacked the knowledge or conviction to make lasting lifestyle changes.

Feeling a need to do more for his patients, he left his conventional medical practice and traveled the world yet again to learn from other doctors and experts in the field. “If I read a book and it made great sense, I’d find the author and I’d be an apprentice with them for a while,” he said.

His search for further knowledge brought him back to Europe, to Japan, Mexico and all around the U.S. Eventually, he went back to New York and started his integrative oncology practice. In time, he moved to Arizona, where he is a licensed homeopathic medical doctor, to establish An Oasis of Healing.

From Arizona to Thailand: A new journey begins

In partnership with Dr. Sribundit, Dr. Lodi is sharing his insights from An Oasis of Healing with Akesis Life. “Over the past years of practicing integrative oncology and seeing how it has turned our patients’ and their families’ lives around, we’ve learned and grown so much,” Dr. Lodi added. “Working with a like-minded expert like Dr. Sribundit and his amazing team at Akesis Life has allowed me to expand my advocacy’s reach to another side of the world and to help more people regain their fundamental right to health.”

For Dr. Lodi, his work at Akesis Life is the beginning of a new chapter in his already successful career as a medical professional and an integrative oncology expert. “Learning is a never-ending process, and that is something that I continuously rediscover as we continue our work here Thailand with Akesis Life. I am grateful for my journey, and I am honored to be on this mission to enlighten, educate and empower people to heal from cancer.”
