An Integrated Medical Centre Providing A Healing Paradise

integrated medical centre

An integrated medical centre in Thailand is changing the way people view cancer care.

Akesis Life is an integrative oncology center which helps cancer patients heal through an integrative approach. An integrative approach means that the goal is to enable the patient to heal by rebuilding health, immunity, and awareness. Unlike conventional treatments, the individualized programs at our integrated medical centre are non-toxic.

Our programs, in fact, are designed to, not just eliminate the cancer cells, but to enhance the patient’s overall quality of life. Akesis Life is known for its treatment pathway anchored on three pillars. But before patients undergo this healing journey, they must first go through a unique process of admission. In a new video, Patient Care Director Sarah Watts talks about the admission process for patients.

Our Initial Evaluation

The first step for patients is to get in touch with the center through contact details found on the website. Sarah will then conduct an initial assessment of the patient’s health situation. “I also like to find out more information such as anything emotional that might have happened in your life, what your current diet is like and whether you’ve been exercising,” she explained. Assessing the patient’s overall state—physically, emotionally and mentally—is crucial to Akesis Life’s holistic approach to wellness and cancer treatment.

After this, Sarah refers the patient to Akesis Life founder Dr. Chatchai Sribundit or to our integrative oncology expert Dr. Thomas Lodi for an individualized treatment program design.

According to Sarah, in most cases, patients stay in the center for an average of 8 to 12 weeks. The detoxification part of the healing method requires time. The center’s treatment pathway is focused on enabling the body to heal, which is a process that cannot be rushed. She added, “It’s not like letting off a nuclear bomb in the body. It takes a fairly concerted effort and a lot of determination.”

Preparing the body for integrated cancer therapies

Detoxification can be challenging, even for those who try to practice healthier lifestyle habits. To make the transition easier, Sarah noted that it is highly recommended for patients to do a “pre-detox program” before coming in.

“What this means in simple terms is cutting out all processed foods and trying to cut out all animal products which would include meat, dairy, eggs,” she said. “It’s good to increase the level of water that you’re drinking every day, and to make sure you’re drinking it in a smart way.”

Patients are also encouraged to cut back on coffee, alcohol and sugary beverage consumption as well as intake of food items that are heavy on carbohydrates. During this preparation period, patients should consume more leafy greens and other vegetables. She furthered, “We want you to enter into the program in the nicest way possible so that you can just focus on healing.”

Akesis Life an Integrated Medical Centre providing a state-of-the-art healing paradise

Akesis Life offers an alternative and holistic approach to cancer care. Part of that journey is experiencing the center’s five-star facility which is fitted with resort-like amenities including outdoor pools, yoga, meditation and recreation rooms, lounge and library, and a classroom for lectures and workshops.

The medical center itself is home to Akesis Life’s highly skilled medical team who has access to the latest and most advanced technologies in non-toxic and integrative therapies. “The process is different for each patient but the common factor among them is that they all strive to be active participants in their own healing journeys,” Sarah concluded. “Here at Akesis Life, healing is a team effort and a life-long commitment.”
